Aquarela Do Leme Hostel - Rio de Janeiro

We loved the amazing view from the terrace, it was amazing. The homemade fresh bread at breakfast was a good touch. The beds with curtains, light, plugs, and a big shelf were so convenient. The hostel environment struck the perfect balance between social and quiet time. The beach was within walking distance, and we even got to experience a local samba party on the street. I highly recommend this hostel!

The hostel had a great atmosphere, with friendly staff and fellow travelers. the homemade pizza at the Valentine's Day event was delicious, and the drinks at the bar were also good. the facilities were well-maintained, with comfortable beds and delicate decor. the location, though a bit uphill, provided a unique experience of living in a local neighborhood and offered cheap and authentic dining options. I had a great time and would love to go back soon.

The steep climb to reach the hostel, which could be tiring, especially after a long day of exploring. It would have been better if the location was a bit more convenient.

had another amazing stay in rio but this short break at a spacious and cozy hostel blew me away. the caring hosts went above and beyond after a medical emergency, and the views from the property were breathtaking. bonus points for the on-call services and nearby restaurants. already planning my next visit.

Great ocean view from balcony, rooftop bar serves delicious drinks, breakfast with fresh fruits, homemade yogurt and bread, friendly and motivated staff. impressive!

wifi could be better

The owners were cute and it's clear that they love what they do. I felt right at home. The hostel is located in a favela, which allowed me to safely experience the local life and enjoy amazing views of Rio. I met some amazing people and had a blast exploring the city with their recommendations. The rooftop terrace and view were fine. I highly recommend this hostel!

Excellent staff, delicious breakfast, amazing shower facilities, neat and private rooms. Close to a good pizza and noodle place. approx. 15min walk to Copacabana beach, with Uber available.

As a digital nomad, I travel a lot and Aquarela Do Leme in Rio was the best choice I could have made. The owners are incredibly lovely and made me feel like family. The hostel is beautifully decorated with vibrant colors that instantly uplift your mood. The level of comfort and cleanliness in both the dorms and double rooms is top-notch. The breakfast here is the best I've had in a hostel. The WiFi is strong and the location is in a safe neighborhood.

I had the most amazing time staying in this incredible hostel. the location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to everything you need. the rooms are neat, tidy, and private, with amazing shower facilities. the staff is excellent and very accommodating, making me feel right at home. And let's not forget the delicious breakfast buffet, a great way to start the day. Plus, the rooftop gym offers fantastic views of the surroundings. It's a true gem!

There's only one downside, and that is the occasional noise from the reception area and other guests at night. with all the positive aspects of this hostel, it's a small price to pay.

I recently stayed at Aquarela do Leme for 10 days and it was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, nestled in a peaceful area just a short walk from the beautiful Copacabana beach. The hostel itself was clean and comfortable, with spacious rooms and stunning views from the rooftop terrace. The homemade breakfast was a highlight, with a variety of delicious options. Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The terrace view was absolutely stunning, providing a romantic setting for our escape. We were also pleased with the friendly and helpful staff, who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. the location was ideal, just a short walk from the beach and close to various amenities.

There were some downsides to our stay. the lack of communication among the staff was evident, as they struggled with English.
